Variable positioning of the hipbelt buckle: Either centered or, depending on personal preference, left or right over the padded belt preventing pressure on the abdomen.

For the minimalists out there who ski with a pin binding (like Dynafit, Plum etc.)and without hipbelt can use an attachment technique that works without straps and other attachment aids.

Lateral ski attachment made easy: feed the 4 included webbing-straps (2 on each side of the pack) through the daisy chains. The strap length can be adjusted steplessly depending on ski-width.

Place the ski pair between your back and pack on the shoulder harness straps. Not the most comfortable option, but quick and easy for short stretches.

In order to secure the skis, clip the karabiner (found in the interior lid pocket) to the drawcord and run the cord through the grey webbing loop as a pulley.

Apart from the two standard ski attachment techniques (lateral and diagonal), when in open country the skis can also be clamped under the pack lid without the need of additional straps. This technique is actually very comfortable as the skis are positioned close to the body and the load sits right next to the shoulders.
